Event Details

The El Dorado Junior Chamber will host the 2010 Annual Meeting of the Arkansas Junior Chamber August 13-15, 2010.  We will have 2011 State Officer elections, trainings, and a good time.

The Country Inn & Suites, El Dorado’s newest establishment, will be the official hotel and central meeting point.  Hotel rooms will be in a block beginning at $75 a night with advance registration under the Arkansas Jaycees room block.

Friday, August 13th

A Night Out in El Dorado
Safety Shuttle to/from Country Inns & Suites to Downtown El Dorado
Members of the El Dorado Jaycees will be on hand to escort guests in Downtown El Dorado.

Saturday, August 14th

Saturday activities are all at the Country Inns & Suites unless otherwise noted

8:30 – 9:00 AM         First Timers Competition

9 – 11 AM                  Speak-Up, Write Up, Interview Skills, Resume Skills

11AM  – Noon           National Training

Noon – 1 PM             Lunch with David Hale, Past National President
                                    The United States Junior Chamber

1 – 2 PM                    Hour of Power Speakers

2 – 4:30 PM               Breakout Trainings:
                                    Membership Recruiting
                                    Building Local Chamber Relationships
                                    Effective Board Meetings
                                    Jaycees & Social Media

4:30 – 5:30 PM         JCI Senate Forum

6 – 7:30 PM              Banquet with Joanie Cramer, National President-elect
                                   The United States Junior Chamber

8 PM – Until             Organized entertainment Downtown with safety shuttle
                                   Candidate hospitality suites at hotel

Sunday, August 15th

Sunday activities are at the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce at 111 West Main Street

9 – 10 AM                  State Executive Committee

10 AM – Noon          Annual Meeting of the Corporation

Meals included:
Saturday & Sunday continental breakfast
Boxed lunch on Saturday
Buffet dinner Saturday night

The convention facilities are comprised of one main meeting hall room that can accommodate a dinner for 60 or a theater style up to 100.  Suites are also available. On Sunday we will have the use of the El Dorado Chamber of Commerce at 111 West Main Street.

There will be a hospitality shuttle available on Saturday day for shopping and on Saturday night for a night on the town with a visit to one or more entertainment establishments.

Registration is tiered pricing. 
Advance registration through the Year-End weekend will be $45.00;
After Year-End up until the Monday before the Annual Meeting will be $55.00;
On-site will be $65.00

Senate/Alumni Rate up until the Monday before the Annual Meeting will be $35.00;
On-site Senate/Alumni rate is $45.00

Refunds will be available up until the Monday before the Annual Meeting and are transferable.
